Garrett Denniston

Barters Island Bees is joining the Camden Farmers Market!  We are is an apiary on Barters Island in Boothbay Maine.  We sell our all natural, raw honey and unique honey products on-line and in a number of Farmers Markets and retail stores around Maine.  Barters Island Bees began with a handful of hives in 2018  It turned out that we were pretty good beekeepers and soon we had many more hives producing much more honey than we could use.... and in late 2021 Barters Island Bees became a business.

While our honey is our primary product, we also sell some products that are made from honey and beeswax, such as long-burning 100% beeswax candles, lip balms, hand salves and dog paw protectors.

Come by our booth at the Camden market and have a taste of all our honey varieties.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Based in the Weeks Mills neighborhood of South China, Maine, Scalawag Farm raises a herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats on 37 acres of pastures and woods. The farm focuses on humane rearing practices and land stewardship to ensure the overall health of the herd and of the soils, creating an environment wherein the goats produce a truly exceptional, high-butterfat milk, which then is either bottled in its pure, raw form, or used to make fresh chèvre and other added-value dairy products.  We also welcome folks to sign up to come to the farm, take a tour, meet the herd, and cuddle the goats.
